Lenay Marteney

My story started in Colby, KS where I was born and raised, and as I grew, so did my love of music.  After recording a couple CDs I began traveling more to perform at fairs, festivals, and churches etc in the Midwest.  In 2004, I made a brief pit-stop in Manhattan (so I thought) with plans to perform on a cruise ship and travel the world.  Meeting and falling in love with a local guy was the plot twist. :) 

My husband Justin and I married in 2008 and made our first home in Riley, KS.  God continued opening doors for me to do music, it just wasn't on a cruise ship but instead as a Worship Leader and eventually Creative Arts Director for Westview Community Church in Manhattan.  In 2010 we bought a place with some land east of Leonardville and over the years we've added countless animals to our farm - 3 of them being the human kind! :)  I now homeschool our kids Brittan (8), Breelyn (5), and Bowan (3) and they keep our lives very full.

I just started my 15th season on the volleyball coaching staff at Manhattan Christian College and I love all things ties to sports and competition.  If you don't run into me doing music or enjoying sports somewhere you can also catch me teaching fitness classes at local gyms and enjoying the outdoors with my family.

In the last few years - our increased involvement in local events and activities began to stir in us a desire for a church home a little closer to our actual home.  This opportunity with Flint Rock Church is such a blessing and we look forward to worshipping and growing in christ with you.
